Arnold Versteeg

Arnold Versteeg is specialized in regulated markets, and particularly in the regulated market for healthcare. His expertise relates to the rules and regulations concerning the organization, the entry onto the market, and the compliance and supervision of the participants in the healthcare market. He is especially interested in, and knowledgeable about, the regulation of medicinal products, medicinal devices and over-the-counter medicinal products, regulation and financing of (healthcare) insurance, and the regulations of the healthcare supply – both with regard to the entry to the market and the tariffs that are set by the Minister for Public Health, Welfare and Sport and the Dutch Healthcare Inspectorate in The Netherlands. Furthermore, Arnold Versteeg is knowledgeable in, and has experience with, remediation and the consequences of insolvency in the healthcare market, public procurement, sector specific competition law, contract law, and public liability law.

Arnold is a trial lawyer, with extensive knowledge of, and experience with, administrative and civil law cases. He has also been involved in alternative dispute resolution of cases, such as through arbitration.

 After he graduated from the Catholic University of Nijmegen in 1982, Arnold was engaged as a research assistant at the same university, gainign his PhD in 1987. In 1986 Arnold Versteeg was admitted to the Amsterdam Bar Association. He worked initially as an associate at Stibbe and progressed to partner in that law firm.  He left Stibbe in 2005 to become one of the founding partners of the law firm Brinkhof. In 2013 Arnold changed course and founded the law firm of Macro & Versteeg advocaten with Alison Macro.

Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
