Alison Macro

Alison Macro is specialized in company law and regulated markets, particularly the financial and healthcare markets.

She studied Dutch civil law at the University of Leiden, after which she completed a Master’s degree in Corporate Law at Queen Mary College of the University of London. She also has a Medical degree (MSc) from the University of Amsterdam.

Alison worked initially as a lawyer at Stibbe, after which she moved to the Dutch Central Bank and rose to the position of Deputy Director of Banking Supervision. Thereafter, she was variously engaged as freelance legal counsel for specific projects and as in-house corporate counsel.

In 2013 Alison founded the law firm of Macro & Versteeg advocaten in partnership with Arnold Versteeg.

 

Alison Macro has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

- Corporate Law

- Contract law

Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
